Air Jordan XX9 “Riverwalk” – Inspired By The 1996 All-Star Game

The Air Jordan XX9 “Riverwalk” is definitely the most unique pair amongst the crop of Air Jordan XX9 Holiday 2014 releases that we’re previewing for you today. The shoes ignore any typical Jordan Brand color schemes and instead don a purple elephant print look that’s blended into the upper’s performance woven build. Apparently the fluorescent colorway worn by the shoes is meant as a tribute to the 1996 San Antonio All-Star game – hence the “Riverwalk” nickname. Air Jordan XX9 – White – Black

The Air Jordan XX9 is a shoe very much dedicated to the elephant print look. We’ve yet to see the shoe completely lift the soft grey material that that pattern first arrived on, but every single pair so far that’s been marked for a retail release has had some amount of that look going on. This time around it stands out even more thanks to the stark black and white coloring selected for the upper.
